Before joining the Commission, Wren gained extensive leadership and operational expertise in the construction industry, supervising more than 100 employees as an Office Manager in high-volume, fast-paced environments. She played a pivotal role in launching and managing a successful construction company alongside her husband, overseeing administrative systems, financial controls, and operational efficiencies. Her entrepreneurial experience also includes ownership and management of a full-service Mexican restaurant, where she directed daily operations, staffing, and customer relations.
Wren’s professional strengths are matched by her deep commitment to community service. She has served as Board Member and Treasurer for her son’s high school football program, supporting more than 300 athletes, and has spent over seven years coaching youth volleyball and softball. She has led and participated in numerous fundraising campaigns for charitable causes and school programs, demonstrating her dedication to fostering strong, connected communities.
A graduate of the Leadership Idaho Agriculture program, Wren brings a unique perspective that bridges business leadership and rural agricultural values. She and her husband, Johnny—a firefighter and Elmore County Building Official—live on a working ranch in Glenns Ferry, where they raise cattle, chickens, and Bernese Mountain Dogs. Their family’s active involvement in local civic, educational, and agricultural initiatives reflects Wren’s philosophy that leadership is built on service, integrity, and engagement.
